Goose Creek, South Carolina. People in Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester counties who need help with their utility bills can attend an event on Wednesday when some aid will be provided to those who qualify.
Palmetto Community Action Partnership, which assists economically disadvantaged persons in the tri-county with self-sufficiency and basic needs, will hold a “mega rollout” for utility bill help at Calvary Church of God in Christ from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Organizers note that to receive assistance, you must present a valid South Carolina ID with your current address, the original Social Security cards for each member of your household, and documentation of any household income earned in the previous 30 days for those 18 and older.
The applicant whose name appears on the account must be present for assistance, regardless of relationship, and you must have your utility bill and transaction history.
Dominion Energy customers: the current month’s bill.
Berkeley Electric / Edisto Electric / Santee Cooper: two recent invoices and transaction history.
Anyone who has previously gotten two services in 2025 will be ineligible for additional assistance. Documents submitted by phone, such as images or screenshots, will not be accepted.
Calvary Church of God in Christ is located at 302 Jeff Circle, Goose Creek. Appointments are not necessary.
