Charleston, South Carolina – The season of giving has arrived, and News 2 is collaborating with area companies to collect toys for local children in need.
It’s the start of our annual ’20 Day of Giving’ campaign, which helps the US Marines collect toys to ensure that all children in the Charleston region have something under the tree for Christmas.
You can drop off a new, unopened toy at any of the partner businesses over the next few days, starting with Crews Chevrolet (8199 Rivers Ave.) on Monday afternoon and evening. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet Storm Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Rob Fowler, who has championed the local Toys for Tots campaign for over 30 years.
All items donated to items for Tots remain local and are distributed to children in the tri-county area.
