Summerville, South Carolina — Summerville’s Deputy Chief Chris Hirsch stated that the motorcycle officer involved in a Friday afternoon crash on Berlin G. Myers Parkway had been released from the hospital.
The crash occurred at 1:15 p.m. near the Sonic restaurant in the area. Following the crash, the office was transported to a nearby hospital and classified as being in “stable condition,” according to law authorities.
Summerville police commended the Dorchester County EMS, Summerville Fire Department, Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office, North Charleston Police Department, and Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash.
