Dorchester County, South Carolina. – A collision in Dorchester on Friday morning killed a motorist and injured a passenger.
Cpl. Nick Pye of the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash occurred around 11:15 a.m. On US 17 Alt. Near Clubhouse Road.
A 2022 Ram Pickup truck and a 2003 Chevrolet sedan were traveling south on US 17-A when the Ram driver attempted to pass the Chevrolet.
Troopers stated the Chevy was turning into a private driveway when the two cars crashed.
The driver of the Chevrolet was killed, while a passenger was sent to a nearby hospital for treatment. According to officials, the driver of the Ram was not hurt.
According to troopers, the crash is under investigation.
