Two Conway adolescents face kidnapping and robbery accusations.

Horry County, South Carolina — Late last month, two Conway juveniles and another unidentified suspect reportedly lured a person inside a residence and robbed them of more than $3,000 in cash, according to a Horry County police report and arrest warrant.

Henry Mekhi Gregg and Lathan Keiju Sarvissteele, both 17, were booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on Monday evening on charges of kidnapping, armed robbery, and possessing a firearm while committing a violent crime, according to online prison records. They each received $130,000 bail and remained in detention as of Wednesday evening.

According to the police report, the alleged robbery occurred at 3 p.m. on October 25 at a home on Fox Tail Pine. A victim told police that he was visiting family nearby when one of the suspects invited him into their home. He stated that he walked there and was “welcomed inside.”

Once inside, the victim informed investigators that he was unable to leave as all three suspects pointed their pistols at him and forced him to turn up all of his stuff, including cash, two bank cards, a house key, a key to a car parked outside, and several other items, according to the report. He was then told to leave the house.

The victim then told investigators that he had met another individual inside the automobile, according to the report. The first victim stated that one of the suspects then fired a shot at his feet before he was able to jump into the car and drive away.

The second victim, who told authorities that he witnessed the suspect shoot at the first victim’s feet, also stated that while the first victim was inside, he was oblivious of what was happening and was simply waiting in the car for him to return, according to the report. The second victim also informed investigators that one of the suspects held a gun at his head and “made threatening statements.”
