A missing Louisiana girl was discovered in a box in the basement of a Pennsylvania home, where she had been enticed and sexually molested, according to investigators.

According to a criminal complaint acquired by PEOPLE, the Pittsburgh Police Special Victims Unit received a tip from the United States Marshals Service on Thursday, Oct. 30, regarding a missing youngster from Louisiana.

Marshals conducted an investigation and discovered that the teen was at a home on Davis Ave. in Pittsburgh.

The FBI acquired a search order for the residence, which was invaded by a police SWAT squad.

The kid was discovered in the home’s basement “in a box with a gray-colored sheet over (it), covering the box and her person,” according to the lawsuit.

She said authorities she met Crumity through Snapchat. According to the lawsuit, he told her that he planned to get her adopted by a trusted adult.

The child arrived at a Greyhound Bus terminal in Washington, D.C., where she encountered a woman who inquired if she needed help.

She said yes and called Crumity to tell him she’d be bringing a buddy to Pittsburgh.

That night, the girl, the woman, and Crumity shared a bed in the basement.

According to the complaint, the girl said Crumity provided her with edibles and alcohol during her stay.

According to the lawsuit, Crumity sexually attacked her at least once or twice per day throughout the week she spent at the house.

She claimed he informed her “he would get in trouble” and that he was aware she was a fugitive.

Crumity allegedly admitted having intercourse with the victim.

According to the lawsuit, the youngster stated that being at the hospital was “the safest she had ever felt.”

It is unclear whether the woman was charged, and whether Crumity has hired an attorney to speak on his behalf.
