Columbia, South Carolina – A lady who was dragged out of a hearing in South Carolina on Wednesday on a proposed abortion ban is now facing charges.
The South Carolina Department of Public Safety informed WIS that Jessica Wilson-Thille, 44, was detained outside the Gressette office building at the South Carolina State House.
Wilson-Thille appeared before a judge for a bond hearing on Thursday.
According to SCDPS, while being escorted out of the hearing, Wilson-Thille became “unruly and disorderly” and allegedly attacked a Senate Sergeant at Arms.
Wilson-Thille was then arrested and charged with third-degree assault and battery by the South Carolina Bureau of Protective Services.
According to records, Wilson-Thille was booked at Richland County’s Alvin S. Glenn Detention Centre following her arrest. She has now been released on a bond of $2,125.
