Dorchester County, South Carolina — The identify of a man killed in an early Saturday morning crash on Interstate 95 has been revealed.
Dorchester County Coroner Paul Brouthers said 69-year-old David Brian Casey of Gloversville, New York, was driving on the interstate when he was rear-ended by another driver around 3:30 a.m.
Casey’s vehicle then went off the road. He was transferred to Trident Medical Center and died a short time later.
He is scheduled to have an autopsy at the Medical University of South Carolina on Monday.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Dorchester County Coroner’s Office are investigating the crash.
