North Charleston, South Carolina — The North Charleston Police Department reported that a guy was detained on Monday for supplying THC products to his young cousin.
A 23-year-old North Charleston resident named Javen Lee was accused of engaging in improper behavior toward a minor.
According to the police incident record, authorities were called to the scene at around 11:28 p.m. when the juvenile victim’s grandmother called to report that Lee had given her 16-year-old grandson THC candies.
The victim told the authorities that he had no idea what was in the two edible gummies Lee had given him. According to police, the victim seemed to be under the influence of drugs and was lethargic.
Officers verified Lee’s claims that he gave the victim the edible THC gummies and that he had other edibles in his car after conducting a follow-up search and finding a jar of gummies.
Without incident, Lee was arrested and transferred to the Charleston County Detention Center.
