St. Louis Police Searching for Suspect Who Fired Shots Into Grocery Store After Being Denied Service

St. Louis, MO — Police are actively searching for a man accused of firing several gunshots into a north St. Louis Price Chopper grocery store after being refused service. The alarming incident happened around 9:40 a.m. last Thursday in the 2700 block of Goodfellow Boulevard, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.

What Happened

Authorities say the suspect entered the store wearing a black ski mask and approached the cashier’s counter. When the employee asked him to remove the mask, the man refused. Because of store policy, service was denied — and that’s when the situation escalated.

Police say the suspect became angry, left the store, and moments later fired multiple rounds into the building from outside before fleeing the scene on foot. Thankfully, no one was injured, but the store did suffer ballistic damage.

Suspect Description

The suspect is described as a Black male, wearing:

A black hooded jacket

Black shorts

A black ski mask

Authorities have labeled him armed and dangerous, urging the public not to approach him.
