Dorchester County, SC – Melissa Lynn Beverly, 48, of Summerville, was arrested on Wednesday morning after deputies found drugs inside her vehicle during a traffic stop in Knightsville.
According to Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Steven Wright, deputies were conducting routine traffic stops in the Knightsville area around 8 a.m. when they noticed a suspicious vehicle behind the AutoZone on Central Avenue.
Upon making contact with Beverly, deputies observed drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle, prompting them to conduct a probable cause search. During the search, authorities discovered approximately 18 grams of methamphetamine.
Beverly was arrested and transported to the L.C. Knight Detention Center, where she faces charges of trafficking methamphetamine.
