NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – A section of Otranto Road is back open after being closed earlier on Thursday afternoon due to a crash involving a utility pole, according to the North Charleston Police Department.
What Happened?
The road was temporarily closed after a vehicle collision occurred near Vistavia Road, causing concerns over safety as crews worked to address the damage involving the utility pole.
When Was It Reopened?
North Charleston Police confirmed the road was fully reopened at 7:02 p.m. and traffic is now moving normally through the area.
If you travel through Otranto Road near Vistavia Road, it is now safe and open for use. Police and utility crews responded quickly to restore the area. Drivers are still encouraged to stay alert when passing areas recently affected by roadwork or accidents.
