Friday night’s storm left several customers in Berkeley County without power as strong winds and heavy rain swept through the Lowcountry. According to Berkeley Electric Cooperative, by 9:25 p.m., 1,143 customers were affected by the outages, with 29 active outages reported across the area.
Crews Working to Restore Power
Crews from Berkeley Electric were actively working in the field to assess the damage caused by the storms and restore power to affected areas. However, the cooperative was unable to provide a specific timeline for when power would be fully restored.
Despite the challenges, the cooperative assured residents that teams were on the ground working to fix the situation as quickly as possible.
